About the Trust

Functions

The Trust complements mainstream government and non-government homeless support programs by providing an important addition to current services.

Financial aid provided by the Trust is geared towards materially assisting clients to achieve a successful transition to stable housing. As determined by individual case managers, support can include:

  • the payment of expenses associated with housing establishment costs, including white goods, furniture, moving expenses and utilities connection; and
  • the purchase of clothing, footwear and personal hygiene items.

Funding may also be provided to clients for:

  • accessing life skills training and development;
  • purchasing medication, or medical equipment not available through mainstream programs;
  • undertaking home modifications;
  • covering transport costs; and
  • relocating, to return home to family support networks.
