Roma HouseLady Bowen Trust. Practical support to overcome homelessness

The Lady Bowen Trust aims to re-engage people who are experiencing chronic homelessness to achieve genuine, positive and lasting outcomes through targeted financial support.

Established by the Queensland Government, the Trust is an independent charity dedicated to assisting Queenslanders who are homeless and who have complex individual needs, to achieve the fundamental human right to safe and secure shelter.

Funds generated through the Trust will provide practical assistance on a case-by-case basis to homeless persons who will be transitioning to more stable housing arrangements. Roma House clients will be the first beneficiaries of the Trust.

The Lady Bowen trust is offering grants for organisations to provide practical support for people who are homeless or who have a history of homelessness, to transition into stable accommodation and improve their circumstances and personal well-being. More information on the 2009 grant round.
